Here we offer you a 15" Gold Medal Girl doll by the Horsman Doll Company with original hang tag. She was made in 1953, and can be found on page 130-131 of "Horsman Dolls Identification & Value Guide"  by Don Jensen.  Be sure to click on the photos to see close ups of her.

According to this book, the new Gold Medal dolls were Fairy Skin all-vinyl dolls with deeply molded hair, turning heads, coo voices, and glassine sleep eyes.

She has molded hair with no paint loss.  She has clear blue sleep eyes with full lashes, and they open and close easily; and a rosy mouth.  She has no odors.  Her legs can be bent to pose in any position, and she can also be made to sit.  She cries when you squeeze her belly.

She is wearing her original blue and white striped cotton dress, panties, shoes and socks.

She comes in her original box, in very good condition. She also has her original hang tag.
