Click on images to enlarge This adorable big girl was made by Effanbee in the 1920's and is fully marked on the back of her shoulder plate. She is a sizeable 29" tall, and is a big girl. Be sure to click on each image for a larger view.
She has a composition head, shoulder
plate, arms and legs. Her composition is in great shape, with some paint
flecks, but no missing composition. There are two cracks, one on her right arm
and one on her right leg. I tried to show them but they are hardly noticeable
and do not detract from her beauty. She has all of her fingers and toes. She
has four upper teeth, tongue and rosy lips. Her cloth body is very nice and
could have been replaced as it appears in too good condition. Her tin eyes
have full lashes and open and close. She has not been repainted. She has her
heart bracelet.
She has her original human hair wig
which is full and in very nice condition.
I made her a dress out of cotton
fashioned after a vintage doll dress. She has a matching bonnet and bloomers.
She has replaced shoes and socks.
